Chanhassen lifestyle photographer I had such a wonderful time hanging out with this adorable family! We got lucky with absolutely beautiful weather. This family wanted a photo session to document an important milestone. Their little lady turned one! I am so excited that I was able to capture her taking a few steps. st. paul lifestyle newborn photographer OK, I admit it! Older siblings are total wild cards during at-home newborn sessions. It can be even more challenging when they’re toddler or preschool age. But I wouldn’t want it any other way. And, fortunately, having two silly little girls of my own has provided ample hands-on training for these situations! The truth is, the big kids always bring something so genuine to the photos. Their emotions are raw and real. This session with baby girl M was no exception. I absolutely LOVED how baby M’s session turned out. The light in the house was dreamy. Baby girl was gorgeous. Her parents were so in love with her. Everyone was comfortable and relaxed. And, of course, big brother was amazing. He was curious, silly, funny and smart. Here’s a peek at this precious new family of four! I am currently booking in-home newborn sessions and fresh 48 in-hospital sessions for November 2015 and on. Fairview Southdale Fresh 48 photographer This awesome momma & her hubby have two precious girls at home. They just welcomed their THIRD daughter a little over a week ago! I was lucky enough to photograph their fresh 48 session at Fairview Southdale hospital in Edina. I remember how hard the first few days with baby are. Even when it’s not your first time! The time at the hospital can seem like a blur. SO, I am super grateful when families allow me to visit during those first precious hours. Expecting a baby? Minneapolis family photographer | the S family The majority of my clients are in the suburbs west of Minneapolis. But, I have had several clients in SW Minneapolis lately. (Thanks so much to the families who refer my services, by the way!!) I adore the tree-lined streets, and the charm of the older homes there. And, I am a little jealous of how many great restaurants and cafes are just a stone’s throw away. So, I was pumped to return a couple weeks ago to meet the S family! I know, I know. I probably say it ALL the time. But really, this family is AWESOME! We had a very client-led session. As you’ll see from the images, big sister was totally on board :). She was bursting with creativity and personality. She read books. She played dolls. And, it was with her grandma’s dollhouse! So cool! She dressed up in a princess dress with a cape. She doted on her sweet baby brother. And, at the end of the session, she asked if she could bring out her OWN camera. Um, YES PLEASE! and then we snapped | weeks 50 & 51 Wow, wow, wow! I can almost NOT believe that I have just ONE week of photos left to share! I am sharing another double dose of images this week. I’m sharing more summery goodness this round. We soaked up the warm sun. We played with bubbles and water, and we harvested more veggies from our garden. There’s no big blog circle this week. I met this handsome, sweet guy during his fresh 48 session, then saw him again a week later for his lifestyle newborn session. His doting big sister couldn’t have been more enamored, and I’m pretty sure that his big brother can’t wait to play 🙂 Mom and Dad seemed to be settling into being a family of five like old pros.
