and then we snapped | week 28

Have you noticed a pattern to your creative peaks and valleys? I haven’t quite figured out my own pattern, but since starting this 365 project, I’ve noticed that I have weeks (or longer) where it’s all I can do to drag out my camera and make myself snap whatever is in front of my face. Then, there are times when I feel like there’s a fire in me to create non-stop. And, there are the times in-between. Sometimes I don’t realize I’m in a a valley until I start crawling out of one. And I think I’m on my way out since I have shot exponentially more this month than I did in the last two. I’m also shooting with more intention, rather than just clicking because “quick, I need a photo today!!” Now, I’m by no means creating a WOW image everyday, but at least I’m motivated to create, and feel like that increases the likelihood that I’ll create more images that I love. Sooooo, please pardon the overshare this week. Remember to follow the circle of my talented & supportive and then we snapped friends! I link to Indira Klotzer, who never fails to stun me with her work.

195|365: When you spotted this icicle and I brought it inside for you to explore, and for me to photograph.

196|365: When we waited, and waited, and waited, and waited to see the ice castles, and by the time we got there, it was much too slippery to safely take photos, so instead, we’ll remember the wait 🙂

It’s funny that you talked about creative peaks and valleys. I’m starting to notice a pattern for myself. I think once I embrace this part of the journey, I won’t take it so hard!

Love the new look to your website! 🙂
