St. Paul Documentary Photographer I have probably said it before, but I will say again how much my own family treasures the photos of our everyday life. We get posed family photos almost every year, but nothing beats looking through photo books of the candid moments, everyday activities and special events. So, I am always over the moon excited when families hire me for in-home storytelling sessions! I followed this family around their home as they just hung out being themselves. The kids played with favorite toys, practiced new skills (like crawling!!), and the whole family walked to their favorite park. I captured new teeth, giggles, cries, cuddles, tickles & peeks. How wonderful to be able to look back on these times and remember not only what they looked like, but also what they felt like!? Chanhassen lifestyle photographer Last week I shared the sneak peek of the adorable C family. I am back to share even more sun-drenched goodness from their family session. Baby CC recently turned one-year-old, so her family contacted me to document that milestone. I am so glad they did! Minnesota provided a beautiful night with perfect weather. The C family provided smiles and giggles. Baby CC showed off new teeth and new (walking) moves. Big brother was full of life, laughter and cuddles for mom, dad, and little sister. Minneapolis family photographer | the S family The majority of my clients are in the suburbs west of Minneapolis. But, I have had several clients in SW Minneapolis lately. (Thanks so much to the families who refer my services, by the way!!) I adore the tree-lined streets, and the charm of the older homes there. And, I am a little jealous of how many great restaurants and cafes are just a stone’s throw away. So, I was pumped to return a couple weeks ago to meet the S family! I know, I know. I probably say it ALL the time. But really, this family is AWESOME! We had a very client-led session. As you’ll see from the images, big sister was totally on board :). She was bursting with creativity and personality. She read books. She played dolls. And, it was with her grandma’s dollhouse! So cool! She dressed up in a princess dress with a cape. She doted on her sweet baby brother. And, at the end of the session, she asked if she could bring out her OWN camera. Um, YES PLEASE! I met this handsome, sweet guy during his fresh 48 session, then saw him again a week later for his lifestyle newborn session. His doting big sister couldn’t have been more enamored, and I’m pretty sure that his big brother can’t wait to play 🙂 Mom and Dad seemed to be settling into being a family of five like old pros.
