Ahhhh, newborns! Some of my favorite sessions are in-home newborn sessions. I’ve probably said it before, but if someone had told me they were going to come to my house ten days after I delivered my first baby WITH A CAMERA TO TAKE PHOTOS, I would have laughed. And, let’s be honest, I also would have CRIED, because you know that’s what happens after you have a baby. ANYway, one of my biggest regrets is not having professional photos of myself and my hubby with our newborns. I was worried about my house being a mess. I was worried about showering, and sleep, and clothes. In reality, none of it matters as much as having those memories. And now, that time is gone!
As your photographer, I’m here to make sure your newborn session goes as smoothly as possible from the moment you inquire, until your images are delivered. I begin with sending an electronic welcome packet. The packet includes FAQs about what to expect on session day, wardrobe help, and investment info. I also have a client wardrobe! That means you don’t have to worry about shopping for that post-delivery body. On session day I bring along any dresses you’re interested in borrowing. I’ll also provide some swaddles for your sweet bundle. You don’t even have to worry about cleaning your whole house. I’m a pro at making clutter disappear for the photo. And, we’ll discuss what rooms need to be tidied up prior to session day. During the session, I’m there to ensure you feel comfortable, as relaxed as possible, and also to chat. I’ll take some photos as well, of course. In a few weeks following your session, your images arrive via email! And now, to spread some newborn session goodness. This client is one special lady. She is an amazing person and teacher. And now, she gets to be an amazing momma to the most precious baby boy! I just LOVE the decor in their home, from the nautical-themed nursery, to the sweet details like the wood-framed sign from Smallwood Home in the master bedroom.
