I am so excited to join an amazing group of Minnesotan photographers for the first time this month as part of a blog circle called “My Minnesota.” May was a very challenging month for me with my photography, but in the best possible ways! I participated in an intense, but amazing photography workshop, and also stepped out of my comfort zone when I photographed a new kind of subject. You don’t have to look at my body of work long to see that I primarily photograph people. But, I recently took on a project photographing the sights of Plymouth, MN for the popular Plymouth lunch spot Dufner’s Deli, which is finishing up a remodel. This was quite different for me, as there were no children to observe or entertain, no rapid-fire clicking to capture (quickly) moving subjects, no outfits to coordinate, no moving of furniture to find the best window light and no scheduled session time. It was just me, my camera, and my vision. And. I. Loved. It.
